Monthly Match Report for April

WELL, HEY HOWDY THERE BUCKAROOS! This here’s yer ole pard, Doc Silverhawks, with a reportin of the goins on at our High Desert Cowboys monthly shootin match fer April.

As you might imagine, Spring was in the air, with very nice temperatures and mild breezes. It were just one of those perfect days, and it showed in the fun loving group that showed up to enjoy it. Seven shooters turned out to enjoy that fine day and to try their luck at four fun filled stages that your’s truly had devised just for them. We had our selves two new shooters, Gentleman Assassin and Acton Belle, who had an absolute ball shootin their first match. Once I had given everbody the safety talk, we placed our new shooters under the watchful eye of our own Rusty Actions, who mentored them throughout the day. We also had a visitor, who I am danged sure will end up a shootin with us and his handle is Okie Steve. I think that by the end of the match, he was a wishin that he’d brought his shootin irons, so’s he could join in on the fun. Anyway, once the shootin had stopped and the dust had settled, with Rusty finishin in the top spot, we settled fer a spell and had us a nice little opportunity drawing before wrangling the steel and cleanin up our trash. Spring is a very busy time of year, and that ain’t no different fer the Cowboys, so it were off to finish a very busy day with no time to visit our favorite waterin hole.

As always, ifen yer interested in Cowboy Action, or, ifen ya just wanna come up and watch, well, you’d be more than welcome.

Yer Pard
